THE ARTIST

Florida born Kentucky artist Bruce Robert Frank has been actively involved in art organizations since the mid-Seventies, creating widely-exhibited, unconventional photographic artwork along the way. His current work is an exploration of botanical diversity, incorporating painting and drawing techniques in digital form.

ARTIST'S STATEMENT

Capturing an image through the camera lens and manipulating the resulting 'digital pigment' by hand with a graphics tablet is a creative process that endlessly fascinates me. This process allows me to transport the original photograph into the realms of painting and drawing, accentuating the essence of the subject's nature, while retaining the original photographic properties of the image.
